Since 1984, Wakefords have been providing a personal service with expert advice, supplying fireplaces, stoves and fires for customers across Surrey and Hampshire, and further parts of the UK for those existing clients who have moved further afield.
From the initial first steps of making contact, choosing and discussing the right design and setup for your home, to the full installation with maintenance and servicing in years to come, it’s important to choose the right company who can offer everything. Wakefords are lucky to be in a position to be able to offer clients what they want using their own fully trained Gas-Safe and HETAS fitters.
Whether you are looking for a fully project managed design and installation package, help and advice on a simple DIY install, or perhaps some stunning accessories for an existing fireplace or gift; we are able to help and advise to provide a range of services to suit all.
From start to finish
Wakefords core service is providing the full package of fireplaces, fires and stove installation from purchase to aftercare. Adam and the team are able to project manage an installation, including co-ordination and liaising with other contractors that may also be working at the property to make sure schedules and timings are met.
Chimney Lining and Installation
Installing chimney lining or even building a flue in a chimney-less house as part of an installation can be a big task, Wakefords will do their best to make sure it is stress free and most of all, ensure it is done correctly.
Full Service
From advice on the best suited appliance for you and your home to onsite quotes and consultation, the team will make sure everything is planned and in place before the installation even begins. Once work starts, Wakefords like to make sure it all runs smoothly to ensure the job is done to a very high standard.
At the time of completing the installation of your fireplace or stove, the Wakefords fitting team will make sure everything is working safely and correctly, the necessary HETAS or Gas-Safe certificates will be issued and certified for the installation. We will be on hand for any advice in weeks to come as you get used to using your new fire, and years to come for any service, maintenance or accessories you may require.
Purchase only
If you are simply looking to purchase a stove or fireplace, be them electric, gas or real, Wakefords have a wide range of products to choose from. Products can be supplied directly to the customer anywhere in the UK, and we are happy to discuss any requirements over the phone or email. Although we would always recommend having a fire or stove installed by the company you buy it from, and certainly by a professional, we do understand some customers simply need a purchase service.
Gas Fire Service and Maintenance
Like most working items, fires need a little TLC. Wakefords employ their own service engineers who will come to the home to make sure the fire previously commissioned is still working safely and efficiently. Calling the office to arrange a service is all it takes to arrange an appointment. Gas fire manufactures, as well as the gas governing bodies recommend fires to be serviced and checked annually, the best time to do this is during the warmer part of the year, ready for when it turns cold again.
Fuel and Accessories
If you are in need of wood or other fuels such as kiln dried wood, Wakefords are able to advise on reputable providers. Every home with a fire should have their chimney swept once a year because of the safety implications. It is critical to find a professional sweep to do the job correctly. Adam and the team will be happy to discuss recommended chimney sweeps in your area so you can start the Autumn each year confident in the knowledge your chimney is clear and it is safe to use your fire.
