Why Choose a Brick Fireplace?
Brick fireplaces provide a naturally cosy and warm appearance to any room, whether you’re thinking of having it in your lounge or dining room. Our brick fireplaces can be installed in a wide range of styles and sizes to match the aesthetic of your home. We will work with you to come up with a fireplace design that is ideal for you. There is no doubt brick offers a uniquely warm feeling as a fireplace material. It conjures up images of the village pub or cottage living compared to something like limestone which is more sleek and minimal.

Are Brick Fireplaces Hard to Clean?
In short no. But it does depend on how long the fireplace has been left without cleaning. If you are thinking of getting a new brick fireplace then cleaning should not be an issue as long as you keep up with it and don’t leave it a year at a time. Some decent scrubbing brushes are a very useful tool along with bathroom cleaner, oven cleaner and even white vinegar which can be really good at getting rid of soot. If you are considering bringing an old brick fireplace back to life so we can install a new fire for you then there are a few more powerful options. Mixing washing up liquid with salt creates an abrasive which can be really good for bringing up old soot stains. Bleach is also useful but obviously must be used with care and we always advise testing it on a very small area which cannot be seen.
Do not be daunted by the thought of cleaning a brick fireplace, they are simple to clean and look fantastic!
Can I Use My Existing Brick?
As well as creating new fireplaces we can also work with existing brickwork. In some cases this is not possible but in many a bit of care and attention can bring previously covered up brickwork to life. This brickwork can then from part of a new fireplace while maintaining the original character. Some homeowners are not even aware what is behind the plaster round their fireplace so get in touch to find out what can be done in your home.
